Nicole Horton, M.Ed., BCBA
Regional Director of San Diego
Nicole is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Concentration in Children and Youth from California State University Fullerton and her Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. In addition, she completed certificates in Organizational Behavioral Management through the Florida Institute of Technology and Special Education Advocacy through the University of San Diego. She has been working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities since 2004. Nicole has provided naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention services in families’ homes, schools, community, and center settings, and has worked with children ranging in age from 10 months old to 21 years of age. Nicole began her career at In STEPPS as a Clinical Case Supervisor and has had the pleasure of expanding In STEPPS’s service coverage area to the San Diego region. She began this endeavor in 2014 and has especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet, support, and provide services to and for our San Diego families and the region-specific school districts and funding sources. Nicole enjoys overseeing individuals who are in the process of taking the necessary steps to test for and obtain their BCBA. Nicole is a member of the professional organization CalABA and thoroughly enjoys furthering her clinical knowledge by attending a variety of conferences about applied behavior analysis and research-based multi-disciplinary services for children and adults with special needs.

At the dog park with my family, Disneyland, the movies, running errands, cooking, and making over old furniture.
