David Koehler
Training Coordinator
David Koehler is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and provides the initial clinical training for Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) and ensures treatment integrity through continued staff development opportunities. With a 20-year background in the field, David also collaborates in the creation and revision of new clinical staff development materials. Earlier, David worked in the Special Abilities Cluster at Edison High School, helping students 14-22 years old, as well as worked as a behavior therapist working 1:1 in both home and school settings. He earned his bachelor’s from Ashford University.

Before working at In STEPPS, what was the most unusual or interesting job you had?
I’ve had many. Just two: I was a float driver at Disneyland and I was a DJ.
Who inspires you?
What’s your child’s name? Because that’s the answer.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
My career. Seriously, my job is really cool and everything I do to advance the field of Behavior Analysis, or advance myself within the field, is really cool to me.
What’s one movie you could re-watch over and over?
The Breakfast Club.
